Sofia Vergara | Bio, Age, Life Style, Net Worth, And Many More

Sofia Vergara (born July 10, 1972, in Barranquilla, Colombia) is a Colombian-American actress best known for her performance on the television drama Modern Family (2009-20).

Vergara’s unexpected meeting with a photographer on a Colombian beach, when she was 17 years old, inspired her to forsake her intentions to become a dentist and seek a career in modeling. She also presented Colombian television shows until 1998, when her brother was murdered and her family moved to Miami. There, she hosted the Spanish-language play guide A que no te arrives (“I Dare You”) and started receiving insignificant positions in Hollywood movies and television presentations. She was one of the four leads in the romantic comedy Chasing Papi (2003), but the roles she later landed were minor ones that emphasized her physical beauty.

Before recreating Mama Morton in the Broadway revitalization of Chicago in 2009, Vergara lived in sustaining positions in the crime acting Four Brothers (2005) and the humor Complete the Browns (2008). Vergara’s big vacation reached the exact year when she entered the form of Modern Family as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, the much-younger wifey of a male with two youngsters her own age—a daughter with a traditional nuclear family and a gay son with a male partner and an adoptive daughter.

Gloria also had an undersized boy from an earlier wedding. The antics of the unconventional family piqued viewers’ interest, and the sitcom became an instant popular and critical success. Vergara received four Emmy nominations for outstanding supporting actress in a Comedy (2010-13). Modern Family finished after 11 seasons in 2020.

Vergara was the show’s breakout star, and she received numerous film offers, playing in films such as Machete Kills (2013), Hot Pursuit (2015), and Bottom of the 9th (2019), which starred her husband, Joe Manganiello (married 2015). Vergara also provided her voice to the animated comedy The Emoji Movie (2017). She became a judge on the reality show America’s Got Talent in 2020. Furthermore, as the uncommon female sex symbol to break onto the international stage in her late 30s, she became a popular subject of celebrity blogs and tabloids.
Vergara has demonstrated her commercial acumen by leveraging her notoriety to create Latin World Entertainment, a talent management organization she cofounded in 1994, into one of the world’s most influential Hispanic media marketing companies.

Vergara became a US citizen in 2014. She received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame the following year.
