MARIA BARRAGAN (she/her/Ella) is a Mexican-born first-generation Latina. Maria has worked as an advocate for the immigrant community, notably for undocumented students, for more than ten years. Maria has worked with undocumented students in higher education for more than five years. She has also contributed significantly to the ongoing movement for immigrant rights. Her objectives are to increase understanding of the various identities that interact with being undocumented and to preserve the accounts of undocumented people. Maria has an unhealthy obsession with coffee, gardens, and plants.
